Shane Horsefield.

Shane is a Trainee Patent Attorney with over 20 years’ experience across academia, industry and medical diagnostics. He has expertise in molecular biology, protein biochemistry, immunology, antibody therapeutics, vaccines, cell therapies, small molecule drug discovery and diagnostic medical devices. His experience includes research and development, patentability and competitive landscape analysis, commercialisation support, and collaboration with start-ups, research institutes and multinational organisations.

Shane has led research projects at the University of Queensland and QIMR Berghofer, working across drug development, vaccines, antibody and cell therapies, and AI-driven drug discovery. He has published in Science, has more than 10 years’ experience in medical diagnostics, and is working towards registration as a Patent and Trade Marks Attorney.
